Culling useless information intake
I recently took a bit of a break from trading (and blogging). After re-engaging with the market again I’m absolutely shocked at the amount of news that is spewed out each day on stocks.
When you’re actively monitoring and trading the market it is natural to read widely on what’s happening; you just don’t realize that most of the stuff is absolutely useless and distracting.
Coming back with a clear mind and clearer goals it has struck me that successful trading requires limiting your information intake. This is difficult if you have a passion for trading and if you’re an information junkie, like me.
At the moment I’m in the process of culling my stock market reading list in all mediums — and dealing with the withdrawal symptoms that goes with that!
